Are there any favorite childrens' books or childrens' book characters you wish the networks developed into an animated series? I always wanted to see the Polk Street book series by Patricia Reilly Giff made into a cartoon. The characters in them were so funny and true to nature in regards to the way children think and act. The writing was so clever and witty, I just always wanted to see the characters brought to life because they practically jumped out of the pages the way they were written. Even though I'm 25, if they made a cartoon with them, I'd watch it. What are your books or characters you'd like to see brought to life?

The only one that comes to mind are the Mr Muggs books I loved as kid...they were stories by Canadian Authoresses Martha Kambeitz and Denise Burns about a large sheepdog, they were my first English "readers"

The question is not limited to books, but also could be cartoon shorts you wish they expanded to a full show or characters in tv ads you wish a show was based on or even comic book characters or popular action figures or dolls. For instance, the character in those esurance commercial, i think would make a cool cartoon, i always stop to watch those commercials. aside from the insurance jargon, i find the spots edgy, fast paced and the animation has an energy to it.

The Junie B. Jones books by Barbara Park Those were sooo funny! I'd watch those if they were made into a cartoon.
If your child does not like reading I would recommend these books. It's what got my son into reading. |

Cartoons or Live Action. Either would be fine with me - PeeWee Scouts by the late Judy Delton. And I would've like to see more Ramona by Beverly Cleary episodes made besides the 10 that were produced and aired on CTV in Canada and Disney Channel in USA.
