Default Funny Quotes / Moments from I Love Lucy

This thread came to me when I was watching the episode when Cousin Ernie visits.

I so love the quote that Lucy says when she is irritated and just came back from giving back all that money to her fellow neighbors after Cousin Ernie made a "collection" to help the "poor Ricardos".

Lucy to Ethel: "You know, if I wasn't so sick and tired of him, I'd like him." And she has a slight quiver in her voice when she says it. When Lucy says that I , she really seems so damn irritated and loathes him so.

When Ricky and Lucy come out to check Cousin Ernie sleeping in the living room...seeing Ernie in that roll-away bed like he is a human taco.

In "The Black Wig" episode, I always when Lucy tells Ethel at that italian restaurant, "You look like an ad for a trip around the world." No matter how many times I see that scene, it still cracks me up.

I Love Lucy has got to be my favorite TV Show of all time.
Over the year I bet you I have watched each episode over 100 times maybe more.

Is that all? How old are you?

I have seen each episode at least a bajillion times. That includes syndication since I was 6 years old, marathons and anytime Lucy has been shown. I am 42.

Funniest line ever, or at least one of the funniest...

Ethel (on the phone with Fred): And stop saying madame you have the wrong number

This is from one of the many times that Lucy wanted to be in the show.

Lucy - "What kind of show? When's it gonna be? Who's gonna be in it?"

Ricky - "Variety, next Thursday, and not you."

^^^^annball, I can see that scene in my head as I read your post!

When Lucy meets John Wayne; the scene where she is trying desperately to remove the curlers from her hair and she puts that black handbag on her head.

There are so many laugh out loud lines in the show, it's hard to pick out just one or two.

I still laugh when watching Ricly and Lucy singing their version of the Waters of the Minitonga

Ricky (singing) Come here
Lucy uuuhh uh uh

I'm not a big fan of the Cousin Ernie episodes, but the line that sticks out in my mind is when Ernie asks Lucy what's s spore session.

OMG, funny quotes and moments from Lucy, this thread is gonna be 1,000,000 posts long easy. Just for starters...

*The face she makes when she first tastes Vitameetavegemin
* When, well into the rehearsal for the commercial, she's so drunk that she can't measure a spoonful and just swigs the stuff from the bottle.
* Ricky, Fred and Lucy behind Lucy as she sings "Shortnin Bread"
*Lucy lighting her putty nose on fire in L.A. At Last
* Lucy as the typical average housewife in The Million Dollar Idea
*The Assembly line sequence in Switching Jobs
* The whole plane episode in Return Home From Europe
* Lip-synching to a record dressed as Carmen Miranda with Ethel in the background as a latin man
*Lucy under the table with the dog trying to get the bone from him
*Lucy coming out of the freezer
