Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia is desperate to play Robin in the reincarnated Batman movies and turn the character into a proper superhero. The actor - who plays Peter Petrelli in the hit series - is a massive fan of the comic book series and would ditch his "Heroes" character if movie bosses would consider him for the Boy Wonder.

When asked by MTV.com of his dream role, he replied, "Robin. They've never done it right."

He adds how he would love to turn Robin into the Nightwing character he becomes in the Batman comic books, in a bid to escape from the shadow of the caped crusader.

If the fist Batman movie franchise taught us anything it's we really don't need Robin.
