NO! The show would've been even more sappy, and they would've given the Olsens even MORE airtime.

They could have brought in the other one as a "lookalike cousin", it worked for Patty Duke!

IF they had the Olsens playing twins, then they wouldn't have brought in the other twins. Simple as that.

Damn house was so friggin' full, too many kids...

The twins just playing one character was okay in the beginning, when they were still babies or toddlers. But in the later seasons, it just seemed weird for them to both play the same character.

^ The Olsens were 8 1/2 at the end of the show. Over at Little House on the Prairie, the Greenbush were both still playing Carrie Ingalls at 11 1/2!!

They had to do that for labor law reasons and for contractual reasons.
