Death of Paul. John Ritter actually died so you never saw him in his death episode. I'm sure in at least that ep of Good Times you got to see "James" walk away.

8 Simple Rules - I still tear up when I watch it. It was so beautifully done. The Good Times one was also sad, but it didn't make me cry, just really annoyed at Florida. The 8SR episode breaks my heart.

you are Right.
i only cried 2 times when i watch the Big Move Episode at the end when Florida Read The Telegram and at the end of part 2 when she drop the punch bowl.

8 Simple Rules Was sad From The Start Of Part 1 Through part 2 i cried most of the episode And the goodbye episode was more painful because John Ritter Died In Real life so you weren't just crying because of the Death of Paul But Because John Ritter Also Passes Away In Real life so it made it more painful to watch and the rest of season 2.

I totally agree that 8 Simple Rules was the saddest because John Ritter really did pass on in real life. I've stated before that had John Ritter lived, that show would still be on the air today and thriving.

I agree. "Goodbye" was sad from start to finish. I still get choked up when watching it, 4 years later. I also STILL get upset when watching the first 5 or 6 episodes, following it (especially the one with the red dress)....They did a very good job with that whole 2nd season.

The Good Times episode was sad, of course, but I guess because we were both crying for Paul, and John, the 8 Simple Rules episode was a little more on the sad side.....Though that scene when Florida throws the punch bowl gets me every time ("Damn, Damn, Damn!").

The 8 simple rules goodbye was more sad. I felt so sorry for Bridget and Kerry and the rest of the family because Paul was a big part of thier life as was James on Good Times. But to me it was sad because Paul was just on for 1 season it felt like we were just beginning to get to know Paul and also the fact that John Ritter also passed away in real life made it even sadder

8SR because Ritter actually died. When the characters were gone I think that was the demise of both shows

8 Simple Rule for sure, because John Ritter was actually gone Plus, for some odd reason I can't help but find comedy in the line "Damn, damn, damn"
