Since A Very Brady Christmas was a movie and not a series, It shouldn't count as a spinoff. The same would apply to other movies that were made after a series had ended it's run such as Rescue from Gilligan's Island.

The Brady Brides was my favorite, it was the closest to the original series.

The Variety Hour gets my vote--they were still fun, young and good looking :-)
I was just getting into The Bradys when it was abruptly canceled.

I wasn't around when The Brady Kids and The Brady Bunch Variety Hour aired, and I vaguely remember The Brady Brides because I was very young at the time. However, I did like The Brady's. The problem with The Brady's was that that show was done for Hollywood reasons more than creative reasons. I think that at that point, Sherwood Schwartz was sort of trying to "reinvent the wheel"; because the castmembers did not really want to do the show, even though they loved working with each other, they knew that the show was going to be a disaster, no matter what time slot they were put in. Generally speaking, fans love the occasional reunion movie. However, trying to revamp old sitcoms into dramedies, or even second generation sitcoms has rarely proven to be a good thing. Just my honest opinion.

Even though it only lasted a very short time, I really like the Brady's (drama).

The same here. I don't remember too much of it. I used to watch it when FoxFamily had the rights to it, and aired it on the weekends.

I'm confused, Kanisky. How was it "done for Hollywood reasons more than creative reasons"?

I enjoyed the Brady Bunch Variety Hour the most because of the energy and the dancing. Not the comedy sketches though. Brady Brides was boring
