I've read something similar to this where a reviewer on amazon.com described his dream 'The Fugitive' complete series set. Since the entire series of Soap has been released I thought it would be interesting to think up the ideal Soap DVD set.
THE EPISODES: All UNCUT and presented in the best possible picture quality (The first season needs work) BONUS FEATURES: I will not go too over board here because Sony own the rights to the series and they are not so good about putting extras on their sets (Seinfeld is the only exception). I will try to keep this section as realistic as possible. - 'The Creators Come Clean' featurette from the season 2 set BONUS DISC: - All 3 specials that aired before the premieres of seasons 2-4 - 'Out of The Wash: The Making of Soap' (around 30-35 minutes long) An all new documentary covering the complete history of the show. Featuring cast interviews with Katherine Helmond, Robert Mandan, and Robert Guillaume. I would really like to hear from these 3 but if available it would be great to hear from the rest of the living cast members (I don't expect Billy Crystal though). Also includes interviews with crew members. - Bloopers from all 4 season of the series gathered in this one feature (15-20 minutes long) - 'Washed Away' (around 5 minutes long) featurette with cast and crew interviews discussing what would have happened in the show had there been a fifth season. - 2 Episodes ('Jessica' & 'God, I Need This Job') from 'Benson' featuring guest appearences by Katherine Helmond PACKAGING: The same individual season sets along w/ 1 slimcase holding the bonus disc all inside of a large outer box. Outer box has light blue color scheme and bubble graphics along with the Soap logo in dark blue. There you have it my ideal Soap DVD set! Feel free to post your own ideas! |

I would like to see tributes to Richard Mulligan and Cathryn Damon. They were phenomenal.
