((The girl's bedroom))
R: Oh no!!
S: What is it Rachel?
R: I broke a nail!
J: (Rolls her eyes and turns away.)
A: Oh no! What a crisis! We better call Eyewitness News!
R: Obviously none of you know how much breaking a nail means to me! Well, I don't blame you, Alexz.
A: And what's the reason for that?
R: Simple. It's too lady like for you.
A: Watch it Warner! Your pushing me!
R: (Rolls eyes.)
((The Cafeteria.)
(It is time for lunch.)
(Rachel, Alexz, Sara, and Jordan all sit around one table with their trays of food.)
R: (Examines her tray.) Ugh! What is this?!
J: It's called food, Rachel. Food.
S: Ya know, the stuff you eat?
A: (Looks at Jordan and Alexz.) Don't worry, she didn't know any better.
R: Oh I know what food is! I just don't know what this is! It's like a mix of a hotdog and hamburger on a hoggie roll!
(Blair comes up to them.)
B: Alexz?
A: Yeah Mrs. Warner?
B: Your mother is here to see you.
A: My mom? Why?
B: Well..she has to tell you something important.
A: (Stares at the girls suspiciously and then gets up.)
B: She's in the main lobby.
A: Uh..thanks. (Leaves)
((The main lobby.))
A: (Sees Jo.)
J: Alexz! Hey!
A: Hi mom..what are you doing here? Mrs. Warner told me you had to tell me something important?
J: (Goes quiet.) Yes..I do. Sit down, hunny.
(They both sit down.)
J: It's about your father.
A: Huh? What happened? Is it okay?
J: Yes..he's alright. But its his job. He was transfered to Florida.
A: And?
J: (Long pause.) Alexz...we have to move there...permanently.
A: (Gulps) What?
J: We have to move to Florida.
A: But..but..why!?
J: I said because your father was transfered!
A: But why do I have to go?!
J: Well we can't just let him go alone!!
A: But..but..but that means I'll have to leave Eastland!
J: (Slowly nods.) That's right.
A: But mom..I don't wanna!
J: Darling we have to!! It's your fathers job!
A: But why?! Why does he have to take us?!!
J: You mean to say you excpect him to do by himself?!!
A: No..I mean to say I don't want us to go at all! I can't leave my friends!
J: But you are going to meet new friends in Florida! There's great schools just like Eastland there!
A: I don't care!! (Starts to cry and runs out of the room.)
