Do you guys wish he had directed more episodes of 'The Beav'? The one I've seen so far directed by him was 'Ward's Millions' and I thought it was good.
When Hugh first had his stroke, I read on this board he would have been unable to go cause the stroke had limited him when it was asked if the reunion was done before he died. Someone called it, made him incompacitated. (just hope it's the right word.) Anyone see any pictures of him after his stroke or was he like wheelchair ridden? Was he able to talk and do things we can do? |

Just saw one of the episodes about Dudley and Beav or really Wally.
I thought it was okay but I just wondered if it could have been better. I wanted to see more of Ward and June.. I loved Ward's comment about talking to a stranger on the phone like someone walked in on him taking a shower...

Hugh Beaumont retired from show business in the late 1960s, launching a second career as a Christmas-tree farmer in Minnesota. He was forced to slow down after suffering a stroke in 1972. A decade later, on May 14, 1982, Beaumont died of a heart attack while visiting his son, a psychology professor, in Munich, Germany. He was 73.

From what I read, Mr. Beaumont was adored by his TV sons, who said he was even kinder and more understanding than Ward. WOW!! How's that for a compliment?
![]() I know he was also a minister. I would love to know how he juggled his show business career with a ministry. Others have done it: Fred Rogers and Clifton Davis, to name a couple. It must be tough, but the rewards must be extraordinary. |
