I never realized how popular Grace Under Fire was. It was ahead of "Friends." Of course, that was before "Friends" moved to Thursdays at 8pm, a move, I thought would hurt the show.

I also didn't realize that "Wings" was on Thursdays as of the 1994-95 season. That was it's last season on Thursdays, because the next season it moved to Tuesdays right before "NewsRadio."

It's nice to see a couple of my favorite shows on the top twenty list (Wings, Ellen). I know "NewsRadio" made it a couple of times before it's third season. I just can't seem to find that magazine anywhere.

Wow. I never thought Grace Under Fire got such high ratings...I thought it was a moderate....semi-hit...nothing major like Seinfeld...I guess I'm wrong.

I love seeing old weekly ratings like this. Funny how during the mid-90's seems like ABC and NBC were choking CBS in the ratings. Much different story now

You also have to look at the time slot, which was right after Home Improvement which was a huge hit. There are several shows IMO that had inflating ratings from having a #1 show as their lead in...some of those are

A Different World....Lead In-The Cosby Show
Veronica's Closet....Lead In-Seinfeld
Coach...Lead In-Roseanne
Family Ties...Lead In-The Cosby Show
Jesse...Lead In-Friends
Grace Under Fire...Lead In-Home Improvement
Night Court...Lead In-Cheers

There's some inflating going on there considering Suddenly Susan, and the Naked truth BOTH aired in the time slot after Seinfeld during that season, as well as Fired Up and The Single Guy airing in the slot after Friends. Making it appear as if NBC had 6 hit sitcoms in the 10 ten when they really had 2 real hits and the other 4 benefitting from being in the slots at 8:30 and 9:30 on NBC Thursday night schedule. Funny too how NONE of those shows made it past their 2nd and/or 3rd seasons once they were moved to different time slots.

I never realized "Hanging With Mr. Cooper" was such a big hit... i thought it was kind of mid-level... and omg i used to like "Me and the Boys", i don't understand why it got cancelled so quickly. omg daves world, that's a blast from the past... omg i miss the 1990's.
