I have always wonder what Network and time did The Merv Giffen Show air.

According to Wikipedia ( Which isnt always totally reliable ) , the Merv Griffin show ran ran from 1962 to 1963 on NBC and ran on an off in syndication until 1972...it also ran on CBS from 1969 to 1972.

it was on cbs monday thru friday from 11'30 pm until 1 am and also after it left cbs it returned to the syndcation market from september of 1972 until september 5 1986.

yeah, that sounds better, i was thinking the Wiki timeline didnt make a lot of sense ( Not to mention that i was sure the show ran longer than 1972...Nice going, Wikipedia

I remember when it was on CBS; that was during the days of-what TV critics called-the "big 3 talk shows" competing against each other; every weeknight from 11:30 until 1 (eastern time). Johnny Carson on NBC, Dick Cavett on ABC, and Merv Griffin on CBS.
