SUPPORT TV SHOW DVD RELEASES!!!! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Sadly, many future TV show releases on DVD will be halted because
of buyer apathy. PLEASE, support these gems and purchase
the DVD sets when they come out. Because of lackluster sales,
only season two of THE JOEY BISHOP SHOW has come out.
Only season one of HAZEL, MCHALE'S NAVY and THE BILL COSBY SHOW have been released. Also, the next installments of THE BOB NEWHART SHOW and THE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW have been halted because of
unimpressive sales on the first few seasons. And, the second volume of
MR. PEEPERS kinescopes has been scrapped. I'm sure that THE REAL MCCOYS will never see all six seasons being released either. PLEASE,
if you want these classics to continue to be released, support them, buy them, and spread the word and urge your collector friends to buy them.

I'm sure if there was more advertising, there would be more sales. This is especially true for the 80's, 70's and the 50's tv shows.

I definitely support the release of HAZEL on dvd. I have Season 1 and I would definitely buy Season 2 if only they would release it. It's been over a year!!!

The Real McCoys is a funny show and I hope season 2 comes out.
A pet peeve of mine is when I faithfully buy the seasons when they are released and when the seasons are done the company releases a big box set for a cheaper price aka The Brady Bunch

I agree...and it's surprising when you see the names of some of those shows. A lot of them were/are popular enough in that they shouldn't be struggling for sales the way they apparently are.

AMEN!! Studios always say the sales weren't good, yet they hardly advertise that a show is on DVD. Maybe if they did, things would be different. You can't always count on word-of-mouth.
