Default Red Hulk

I was listening to the audio commentary on the pilot episode and Kenneth Johnson was talking about how he wanted the Hulk to be red instead of green. I couldn't believe it and I can't even begin to picture what the Hulk would look like if he was red. How long do you think The Incredible Hulk would have lasted if the Hulk was red? I don't think the show would have lasted more than a season. It probably would have turned off the fans of the Hulk comics and I don't think the Hulk would have been too scary if he was red.

I can't beleive either

If Kenneth Johnson wanted to do such big modications,he should have not named the series"The Incredible Hulk".A red hulk!!!I'm so glad that Stan Lee put his foot down.He would look like he had a big sunburn all the time...I imagine the hulk coming near an old granny, she clams:Oh,dear! That's what you get for going under the sun too long

Why would Kenneth Johnson even entertain the idea of changing the Hulk's skin color?

That would be like saying "does Batman really have to look like a bat?"

Kenneth had arguments with Stan Lee wondering why the Hulk was green, saying green was the color of envy or greed and Stan didn't really have an answer for it so Kenneth suggested red because he was the angry Hulk and I guess red is the color of anger or something. Didn't make much sense to me either.

A red-skinned Hulk would have looked ridiculous. I don't believe the show would have worked with a red Hulk

The green is what really was distinctive about the Hulk.

I actually think it makes a lot more sense to have the Hulk red out of anger than green but with the comics already establishing GREEN it would have been a dumb move and unthinkable.
