Last night I posted a message regarding this series on a site known as "Jump the Shark". After I post this message, I plan on going to that site and see if I have an responces. In any event, the message that I posted was about Oscar and his ex-wife having never had any children. Depending on which version of the story you subscribe to, Felix and his ex have either a son and or daughter or just a daughter. In any event, after I was finished posting messages for the night, I pulled an insomnia cafe and watched a DVD of the movie that this series was based on. I was surprised to hear a phone converstation between Oscar and his "son"! Being that his "children" were mentioned in the plural sense, he had to have had at least two. I would be "very" interested in hearing from anyone who has any idea why they made his kids non-existant for the sake of the series!

I've read this info in a couple different places --- originally the executives didn't want either Oscar or Felix (who were divorced) to have children --- remember this show was done in the 70's --- however in the second season the executives compromised --- Felix ended up with two children, a daughter Edna and a son Leonard.

Leonard was played by Leif Garrett. A couple of years later he became a pop singer/teen idol.
