Well, I watched "Back To The Grind" last night. Did anyone else out there?
Here are my thoughts. First off, I thought Jimmie Walker's segment was funny. I thought it was hilarious when the nude male model walked posed for Jimmie and the class. Harry's segment was cute, but dated. It wasn't dated because he doesn't live in New Orleans anymore. It was dated because he hasn't sported a beard for a few years and I think he got rid of the tatoo on his arm. TV Land must have had this show in production for awhile...at least that's my guess based on what I observed. Anyway, I thought Harry did a great job officiating the wedding ceremony. I certainly took me back to his "Night Court" days. I thought it was funny when Judge Reggie was quizzing Harry on some legal terms that Harry didn't know at all. I thought it was pretty good too when Harry had to go look up cases on fortune tellers in the law library and he brought a whole bunch off files and papers that were beyond what he was supposed to present. (such as stuff on the Fortune 500). Obviously, Harry's segment appeared the more "staged" of the two. You could tell just by watching it. Nevertheless, it was fun and great to see Harry wearing that judge's robe again.

Harry also pointed something out that made you wonder how "Night Court" would be different today than when it was on TV. He talked about how cell phones are a disturbance to the court now unlike back when "Night Court" was still airing. (Cell phones I think were just evolving around the time "Night Court" was ending its run.) Funny how times have changes. Yet, "Night Court" could still make you laugh.

Yes, I saw it and even taped Harry's segment. It was good. And did 'bring' you back to NC. I thought it was interesting how they had them doing the court session at the judges bench like they do on NC, but that doesn't really happen in real life. Least all the court stuff *I've* ever seen.

And I did notice how dated it was...

I saw Back to the Grind and I thought it was cute. I was surprised that the judge let Harry do his old judge routine instead of making him do it the official, professional way.
