Yes, he's concerned. He's a realist. He says, "You never count the Yankees out, not until the last day, the last out." This isn't really new though Solomon. The Sox always fall apart this time of the season.

Good for us too, with that attitude, lol. That's not true with the Red Sox either. If the Sox were trying to buy a Championship, they would have unloaded their farm club players and bought a lot more at the trading deadline. They only got one player. There's nothing wrong with trying to better your team.

You really don't know much about baseball do you? LOL

Anyhoo, the Yankees are on a roll lately. It's all due to their young talent like Melky Cabrera, Robinson Cano, Andy Phillips and Shelley Duncan and Chien Ming Wang. Now with the additions of Phillip Hughs and Joba Chamberlain, they seem to be getting stronger.

I wouldn't go crazy though, the Sox still have a huge enough lead and have excellent pitching. I just want the wild card.

I dont appreciate your snicker... Would you like me making fun of you?
I know plenty about it...and how teams like the Yankees and Red Sox spend rediculous amounts on free-agent players ( The Sox paid an obscene amount just to get the right to TALK to a Japanese free agent in the off-season ), leaving other teams in the dust, destroying the credibility of the league and making sure that theres basically the "haves and have nots"...sports is supposed to be based on the "competitiveness" of the teams, but, teams such as these take all, and give nothing back to the league! Granted this is a problem in all major sports, but, in baseball, it's become rampant and these 2 teams ( Along with , arguably, the Atlanta Braves ), are the main culprits.

Anyway, I hope when the playoffs come, both of these teams flounder, and some middle-of-the-road Wildcard team takes it ALL!

...And I don't appreciate your slam, so we are even. If you did know about baseball, you would know the Yanks are developing a lot of young home grown talent.

If you noticed lately, alot of teams besides the Yanks and Sox are being "competitive." It is a little something called REVENUE SHARING. Teams like the Yanks and Sox have to pay money to the smaller market teams a portion of what they spend on talent and that has helped several teams be much more "competitive."

It isn't the Yankees or Red Sox fault that a majority of the owners of these small market teams put the money they give to them in their pockets rather than on the teams they own.

Well, i wasnt slamming YOU, whereas you were being personal! And yeah these teams develop players, but, so do all the other teams...however, other teams have to let those players go as soon as they come up to their potential...as far as revenue sharing goes, its a sham, a drop in the bucket for teams like the Yanks and Sox......ALL TV monies should be shared equally throughout the league, small market teams should refuse to let the games go on the tube until this happens.
