Default Well I found out that these are the highest rated TV shows on N@N and TV land

The Link told me that TV Land's best show is Andy Griffith and no surprise to anyone, N@N's best show is Fresh Prince. So I guess AG won't be going anywhere no time soon. I feel AG is more of a afternoon show but it's the highest rated show so what do I know?-lol

I replied to your pst at the TVLand, asking about a few other things, and it seems Roseanne is still the second most popular show on the network, but the ratings for Fresh Prince are significantly higher than the ones for Roseanne. And of course, Cosby is a distant third, with Full House being fourth (there's little hope for those of you who want it renewed next month!)

And, I guess MASH is second highest on TVLand.

I really don't get that. How exaclt can one show be a better lead in than the other, besides ratings? It doesn't just go for Andy Griffith and Extreme Makeover. It's been said that the Munsters and Addams Family aren't airing at all in August because they are not good lead-ins to the Elvis movies that air at noon. That really doesn't make much sense to me.

Just beacuse I love Andy Griffith and are glad to see it on it does not mean that i will be watching Extreme Makeover. I am just going to turn the channel. I thought that TV Land was supposed to be about classic tv. How does EM fit into that profile?

Maybe TV Land will suddenly start EM before Andy Griffth ends at 10:30pm-lol That will be a way to get AG fans to check out extreme makeover

That will be the only way I'll watch it. TV Land is not that smart though

When I saw that Andy Griffith mini-marathon on before Extreme Makeover I knew that's what they were doing....hoping people wouldn't change the channel before Extreme Makeover came on so they could claim what great ratings they had for that show. I made sure I changed the channel. No way was I going to be counted as one watching that show. It doesn't belong on TVLand but then again they can't seem to realize people want classics. I don't watch TVLand as much as I used to. I used to put that channel on and rarely ever changed it. Now there's not much reason to watch with most of the classics gone.

I own all 8 seasons on DVD, and since the show airs all, and I mean all, the time, how could I not be sick of it? I haven't touched my AG DVD's in months.

Me Too!!! I never get tired of watching that show. I'll fix me some coffee and cake and watch Andy and Barney on Saturday and Sunday nights. It's wonderful!

In my opinion, there are better shows they could be airing in those timeslots.

Also, with the shows not starting precisely ON THE HOUR, doesn't or shouldn't that affect the ratings? I mean, if you are watching a show that ends at 8:35 and the next program starts a minute after that, won't the ratings from the 8:00 show be mixed in with the next show? Does anyone understand what I mean?
