TV Land has acquired two new shows - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

According to the Messageboards @ TVLand.com, two new shows have been acquired, one for December or January of 07-08 and one for June of 2008 (subjcet to change). Both are shows that ran from the 1960s in to the 1970s. We should hear more shortly...great news!

I wonder if Bewitched and jeannie could be coming back, or maybe Get Smart or The Beverly Hillbillies...

I know that The Link on the message boards said he was extremeley happy with the acquisitions.

Both Get Smart and Beverly Hillbillies sprang into my head because I had also heard they previously aired on either N@N or TVL, but the Link said one of them was a comedy with drama aspects or the other way around

I'm curious to find out!!

The only sitcom I can think of like that is Room 222 but I doubt that's it.

Could it be "Family Affair"? That show was a comedy with a lot of drama in it. And it's from the sixties and runs into the seventies.

i wouldnt be surprised if Get Smart came back for a time....because that movie version is coming soon, and they usually cross-promote these things.

They also want to do an I Dream of Jeannie movie for the big screen. I don't understand why though. It already had a couple reunion movies...

My guess is I Dream of Jeannie... along with Get Smart.

im thinking one of them could be barney miller because i read a book where the authour called barney miller a comedy with dramatic overtones and maybe they were quoting from the book one the other hand they had barney miller once before and gave it the shaft as for the 60s show i dont even have a clue

If that's true, that cancels Barney Miller out, too. Bummer.

I can only think of one 60's show that lasted until the 70s that's watchable "That GirL" So whatever shows they are it would be huge news to me
