In the last post, I made a couple of responses in regards to an episode in which Hazel Shermet guest starred. Although the character's name was never revealed in the episode, in the credits, she was "Mrs. Larry Rhine". This is because, her, real life, husband was Larry Rhine. He died back in 2000 leaving behind her and two children. One thing that I found out from the Internet is that there is "very" little written about her (or him)! I thought that she did a great job of playing the guest parts that she played and I would be "very" interested in knowing what she is all about! In addition to the episode in which she played "Mrs. Larry Rhine" she also appeared in two other episodes of "Gimme a Break!". In one of these episodes she played a woman named Rita and in one she was a character titled "woman at party". The last of these episode was in season two and I am "very" anxious to see it come out on DVD in this country! I also saw an episode of "The Facts of Life" in which she made a guest appearance and I thought that she was "great"! I have looked up what she has been in, but most of the movies that she has appeared were quite a bit before my time. It seems that she has not been in anything since the eighties. If anyone out there knows anything about her, I would be "very" interested in hearing from you!

That is very interesting. Are you an especially big fan of "Mr. Ed"? On top of that, if you have, in fact seen the three episodes of "Gimme a Break!" that she was in, what do you think of the episodes in general and her parts in particular? |
