I know I am going to get it for this, but how many think the Terri Schiavo case would been good case for Unsolved Mysteries to look into?
There are a lot people with investigating skills on this board. The circumstances of Terri Schiavo's collapse was investigated by the autopsy and a prosecutor's specail report. However, this was done 15 years after the fact. As result of these investigations, the following interesting conclusions have been determined: Terri did not suffer a heart attack. It unlikely Terri had bulimia. The potassium imbalance as to the cause of Terri's collapse in very much in question. The husband was the only there at the time of Terri's collapse. The husband has given 3 different and conflicting stories on the details of Terri collapse. The ME's examination of Terri's medical records were records given to him by the husband's attorney. The ME remarked that a large portion of Terri's medical records are missing and therefore has not closed the case. The case of Terri Schiavo remains open to this day pending furthr information on the cause of her collapse. Any thoughts on the case? |

I think the husband definantly had everything to do with her condition. That is why he refused to have her rehabilitated. I can't believe my state killed her. Who would say, 'honey, I would rather thirst to death than live any other kind of life than I have now.' I mean think logically if she didn't feel any of that pain of thirsting to death for weeks than she didn't feel any pain of living the life she was living for years so why not allow her to live it. If she did feel pain living the life she was living than I'm sure starving or thirsting to death was a great ending. If it were some kind of breathing machine or something that would have killed her quickly than I could understand, but making her take weeks to die?! Her death was much worse than we would allow any criminal to endure. I'm sure many of you have other opinions about if she should have lived or not, but to me only someone without any feeling would have it that she died in such a way.

How is it known that she didn't have bulimia? That was going around for quite a while and judging from pics (although I know you can't always do that) it appeared her weight flucuated. I know people who have succumbed to the same disorder and the symptoms were exactly like hers. Although, I do believe the husband played a role, as well.

I too believe that Michael Schiavo had something to do with Terri's condition. He wanted Terri's body to be cremated, and he got his wish, despite the objections of Terri's family. I suspect that there was something about her condition that he didn't want brought to light. I just can't think of any other plausible explanation for his demeanor.
Also, there has been talk of a Terri Schiavo movie. I have a sinking feeling that it will be biased in Michael Schiavo's favor! |
