Not that I could buy those two making it in any of those fields (well, maybe except for the exterminator job).

Dick Louden (Newhart) was the owner of the Stratford Inn, hosted a local TV talk show and wrote how-to books. His wife Joanna co-owned the inn, was a real-estate agent and also hosted her own TV show (Hot Houses) briefly.

Not to mention he opened Archie Bunker's Place. I think he was working there during the All in the Family years - before the title changed and became focused on the bar.

James Evans-Worked at the car wash and a loading dock on Good Times
Gabe Kotter-Teacher also worked at night briefly as a Stand up comic on WBK.
