Sad on this day in 1944 Anne Frank and her family was found hiding

Its been like 63 years since anne frank's family was found. The gestapo (nazi police) were lead by an informant to anne and her family. Anne and most of her family except Otto Frank (who survived) died in the concentration camps.
R.I.P. To the members of the Frank family

I read Anne Frank's diary about seven years ago. It is very powerful reading. Also, very sad.

At least she left a legacy that even the most adamant "holocaust denier" cant argue over! And that makes her immortal, in a sense.

We did quite a *lot* of Anne Frank stuff in 8th Grade {1998-1999}. It got annoying, lol.

But it is a very sad story.

Unfortunately, fools and bigots can argue over anything until they're blue in the face.

Doesn't change the facts. That's what makes them so amusing.

And potentially dangerous....

We must be ever vigilant against hate, or something like this will happen again.

Yea we did a lot of anne frank/ other Holocaust related things too in the 8th grade like some of you guys here. Anne's diary was sad and powerful. I really admire those people who hid here that took a lot of guts.

R.I.P. to the Frank Family. I remember reading about them in school. Those were awful times.

Such a terribly sad story. They came so close to making it too. After surviving in hiding for two years, the poor girl dies within months in a concentration camp.

Its sadly ironic though, that, had she lived, the manuscript would probably have been put in a drawer somewhere, and the World would have been deprived of one of the most important documents of the Holocaust.

Thats right yeterday was the day. Thats so sad. We read & saw movies on Anne Frank this past year at school(8th Grade). She & her family, had plenty of courage and I admire that. R.I.P. to Anne, her family, and the other people who lived with her.

You're probably right. Wouldn't it have been wonderful if that young girl survived to live a full life, while having her diary still become a classic....if she went on to become a famous author, historian and public speaker. She would be in her 70s today.
