I probably would let them watch let them watch those shows if I have kids in the future. It would teach them a lesson about bigotry and hatred towards others. Plus they probably would find Archie and George funny especially Archie. I would just them know that Carroll O'Conner and Sherman Hemsley weren't really like that in life. or Redd Fox and John Amos.

I have kids and I have let them watch those shows with no problem. Of course, my youngest is 5, so he isn't into watching those shows...yet.

Some Parents Wait Until There Kids Are Like 10,11 And 12 before They Watch some Of These Show Like The Jeffersons,Good Times,All In The Family And Other Shows From The 70s,I First Saw The Jeffersons When I Was 9 And I First Saw All In The Family when i Was 11 And I Didn't have A Problem.
My Cousins Who are All 3-9 Can't Watch The Jeffersons.
Some Young Kids Like Age 3-10 Would not Get The Concept Or The Jokes Because of the time period it was set in.

I have 3 children, and I let them watch my DVD's of The Jeffersons and All in the Family all the time. I mean, they only watch it because it's funny, so what's wrong with that?

I started watching AITF when I was 5 and I watched all the others in primetime too. Nothing wrong with them. A lot better than today's tv.

I think he is trying to say that some things in AITF and The Jeffersons were things that children wasn't supposed to hear since they were not really family sitcoms.

I watched those shows as did my younger brother & sister when they first aired. Boy did we learn alot from watching them. I've let my son watch them as he was growing up and don't have a problem with it.

My son is not into shows like that, but I wouldn't have a problem with him watching them. He's old enough to understand that they are just sitcoms and are for entertainment.
