Are there any TV DVDs that have been released, were available for quite a while, then the production was stopped or were only produced in limited quantities (meaning a higher price)? I was just wondering if this has happened, I know after VHS sets were available for a while, they were either cancelled or got really expensive due to limited quantities being available, and was wondering if this has been the case with any DVDs.

I Don't Know If This Count But The Jefferson Season 1 Was Released in 2002 Season 2 in 2003 And Season 3 Came 2 Years Later in 2005 now it 2007 and we are up to 6 Seasons.

Does anyone know if America's Got Talent is gonna be on DVD? I know the new season starts on Tuesday but I'd love to find that other seasons so I can watch at home again!

There aren't a lot that I can think of. I remember that the complete series of M*A*S*H was unavailable about a month after it's release date. I think it was about 6 months before it was available again. I know that some "Limited Edition" sets aren't produced anymore, like the head shaped boxes for seasons 6-10 of The Simpsons or the book shaped outer boxes of SNL seasons 1 & 2.

I know that MPI released some episodes of "THE RIFLEMAN" in a "best of" set, but it's no longer being made.

Not to be rude, but what does that have to do with the question?-LOL

I know The Wonder Years 2 Best of sets went out of production a long time ago - they were released in like 1998, and can only be found for tons of money on Amazon though trading. The last time I checked, both were near like $130 just for the 1 Best-Of Set, and it only has like 3 episodes on it.

And I'm pretty sure all the Warner Television Favorites sets are out of production, but they can all still be found really cheap.

the original Sports Night - the Complete Series (1998) set went out of print a while back and it is currently selling on Amazon for the minimum price of $69.98 !

the good news is that they are releasing an even bettter Sports Night - The 10th Anniversary Edition, the bad news is - it lists for $69.99
