Who Here Has Central Air? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

For those who do, have you ever had any problems with it? If so, do you know how to fix it? LOL The reason I ask is I have central air and it's not blowing anything. Someone's coming to fix it but not for a couple of days. It's sooo hot. I actually hate this central air but it came with the house. Anyone?

We've had ours for 3 years and its done ok so far. Its bad to have it go out in the hottest time of the year. I really feel for you. Maybe they can fix it soon.

Ours blew hot air last year because something around the furnace was frozen. But I don't know what the service man did to remedy it.

Your problem could be the fan or compressor, but I really don't know. Also do you replace the filter every month? We have ours checked out every May so that there will be no problems in July and August. Last year the guy did find a problem and it was fixed before the heat arrived.

Ours is 10 years old and we've never had a problem with it. Good Luck and I hope you have that sweet cool air fanning you soon...

It's fixed!

There was a problem with the thermostat. We figured it out last night. Thank god I slept peacefully last night!
