No Cheating by looking in the papers or internet

My friend gave me these questions today, it gets you totally thinking

1. Of the 4 Major sports (NFL,NHL,NBA,MLB)
There are only 8 teams that do not end in the letter "s"

Try and get them

Took me about 2 hours to get all 8

2. There are only 7 cities that have all 4 sports, has to be the same city name (Boston/NewEngland don't count).

I'll give the first one

New York

Giants/Jets
Rangers/Islanders
Mets/Yanks
Knicks

I only got 6, the last one I had to cheat.

MLB: Chicago White Sox

NHL: Colorado Avalanche

NHL: Minnesota Wild

NHL: Tampa Bay Lightning

NBA: Utah Jazz

NBA: Miami Heat

NBA: Orlando Magic

Took about 20 minutes. Couldn't remember the final team.

For the teams, I'll only give one qualifier, even if they have more

1)New York [given]

2)Chicago: Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs

3)Atlanta: Falcons, Thrashers, Hawks, Braves

4)Philadelphia: Eagles, Flyers, 76ers, Phillies

5)Detroit: Lions, Red Wings, Pistons, Tigers

6)Washington DC: Redskins, Capitals, Wizards, Nationals

The seventh one is tough. At first I even thought

 "Hey, there are 4 "Minnesota [x]" teams, but the Minnesota NHL team plays in St. Paul, NOT Minneapolis - the other 3 play in Minneapolis.

I can't find the 7th city, then, for the life of me.

I just hope the 7th team I listed wasn't the 7th your friend had in mind...otherwise, as I pointed out, there are only 6.

If others can't find a 7th, I think that's OK.

I am pretty sure #7 is the one you listed because the rule was it had to be the same city/team name not the actual location

I just assumed it was the inverse of the Boston/Patriots rule.

Chicago Cubs is one ... what are the other 15?

Took me about 30 mins to get 14, had to cheat to get the last 2
