Stranger With Her Face

This is my first shot at a story form fan fic so I hope that it doesn't suck eggs.

"Mom!" Alexz Bonner called to her mother. Her eyes fell on a note on the breakfast bar. "'Dear Alexz, '" Alexz read aloud. "'Sorry I had to leave in a hurry. Your dad will be home in a while. Start dinner and I'll be home to eat. Love, Mom' Figures."
" Hi, Alexz."
" Hey, Dad. Any luck?" Alexz's dad was a pianist, but lately, he hadn't been able to find work.
" Yeah. I found a place where--"
" Lounge player again, huh?" Alexz interrupted.
" Hello, all! Oh, I sound like Blair!" Jo Bonner came through the door with a gun in her hand. Since Alexz was against violence in the house she said, "Mo-om! Please!"
" Sorry Al. How did your search go?" She asked Rick.
" Lounge player... again." Alexz answered her mother's question.
" Again? Oh, well we have money."
" Mom! Stop!" Alexz's mom was an FBI agent in the Bronx, New York and ALexz was trying to adjust to, "My mom carries a gun around all day." She would admit, it was pretty cool to have your mom as a cop. None of the kids teased her, because they were afraid they were that she could have them arrested.
"... well? What do you think?" Alexz snapped out of her thoughts to hear the last of her mother's question. "Alexz?"
" Uh... repeat the qusetion!" Alexz replied.

Guys, I am sooo sorry but I have to go practice Fur Elise. I promise I'll post more after I finish.

"I said that we might have to move to San Francisco." Alexz choked on the cookie she was eating.
"San Francisco? As in, California?" Alexz asked.
"Last time I checked," Jo replied. "It wont be so bad."
"What about my friends?" lexz cried angrily. "Why do we have to move anyway?" Alexz crossed her arms over her chest. Jo and Rick exchanged worried glances. Finally, Jo said, "Alexz, let me explain something to you. When there is a person who knows something bad about someone. Bad enough to make that person really mad--"
Alexz interrrupted, "If there's a point, please get to it."
"Right. The Witness Protection Program protects those people. Right now, we need protecting. When we get to California, you can't tell anyone about your past. Is that clear?" ALexz nodded as tears began streaming down her face.

"Hey, Chelsea!" Alexz whipped around to fins see her best friend, Elizabeth, standing behind her. Alexz wasn't used to being called, "Chelsea" yet.
"Hi, Elizabeth."
"What are you doing after school today?" Elizabeth asked as they started walking down the hall to last period.
"I was just gonna go home and study," Alexz told Elizabeth. A boy bumped into Alexz making her spill her books on the floor. Elizabeth wrinkled her nose at him. "You clod! Look at what you made Chelsea do!"
"It's okay, Elizabeth." Alexz told Elizabeth. The boy handed Alexz her books.
"You're Chelsea Stratford, aren't you?"
"Last time I looked in a mirror." Alexz held out her hand. "I'm Chelsea Stratford, but you already know that." He shook Alexz's hand.
"Craig Jones." Elizabeth scoffed.
"Oh, this is pathetic!" She turned on her disigner heel and stormed into geometry. Alexz and Craig stifled their laughter.
Alexz said, "Don't mind her, her mouth is holding her brain hostage!"
"After school, do you want to get a pizza or something?" Alexz smiled.
"Are you asking me out?" Craig nodded. "Sure. Why not?"

I'm really have to go practyice now! I'm leaving you in suspence! Ha ha!

Alexz leaned over the geometry book lying in between Craig and herself. "So, on a triangle, opppsite sides are eqaul. See..." Craig put his hand on Alexz's.
"Chelsea, I've only known you for a few hours but, I want you to be my girlfriend."
"Oh, that's sweet but... I can't date, and--" A highpitched ringing interrupted the mirth. "It's my cell phone." Alexz explained taking the phone out of her coat pocket. "Hello?"
"Alexzandra Marie Bonner, where are you?" Jo screamed into the phone so loud that Alexz had to take it from her ear.
"Mom! The pizza parlor!"
"With whom?"
"A biker."
"What?!?"
"Calm down. A boy from school."
"Look at your watch." Alexz sighed, but did as she was told and looked at her watch. "Now, what does it say?"
"Mom! It says-- oh my Lord! It's almost 8:00!"
"Exactly! Your dad has been out for four hours looking for you! Where are you exactly?"
"Guido's. On 4th and Elm."
"Your dad will be there in a few minutes."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"'Bye."
"'Bye" Alexz put the phone in her coat pocket and Craig asked, "Who was that?"
"My mom. She worries. Ever since we had to move--"
"You had to move?"
"My dad got tranferred."
"Chelsea!"
"Dad! Meet Craig Jones, he bought me dinner." Craig shook Rick's hand.
"Hello, Mr. Stratford."
"Hi. Let's go, Chelsea!"
Rick pulled Alexz out of the door while she was saying, "'Bye, Craig! Thanks for dinner! I had a blast!" Craig just stood there waving like a mindless idiot.

Later that evening, Alexz was sitting on the couch. Jo was pacing in front of her.
"Mom, it was an innocent study date. We sat, we talked, we ate. That's it!" Jo stopped pacing in front of her and said, "No, that's not it! That's not even half of it! You were--" Rick got up and pulled Jo down into a chair. "Whoa! Just when you think it's safe to go into the water, JAWS!"
"Rick, shut up! Alexz, I want--"
"Mom! If you're afraid I'm gonna tell someone, I'm not. I know better than that. I'm not gonna out our family in danger because I like a boy! He's nice, but my family comes before anything else." Alexz got up and went upstairs to her room. Jo sighed and Rick said, "That went well."

I need to write more on my Division fanfic, but I'll finish this one soon!
