Solomon I saw the infamous Judith Cohen episode the other night - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

and this is one major reason I hate the episode...aside from the obvious reasons...the way J.J. was just pushed out of the position as manager for Judith Cohen. That was ludicrous. If Mr. Simmons wanted Judith Cohen so bad, what was wrong with dealing with her manager (J.J.)? I mean, that's the way it is on show business, you talk with the agent/manager in charge of that person. I felt like the way J.J. was so easily pushed aside was not real.

I don't get the "message" or meaning behind it either.

The only bright spot in the episode was in the beginning with Michael singing.

That for sure, was the ONLY bright spot. I would have liked to see an entire episode around Michael and those guys trying to get a gig or something.

That's what it looked like it was going to be about from the way the episode started. Still my favorite ep of season 4

He wasn't pushed out, he decided to bail out when he realized that the only way judy would get anywhere as a singer was to link up with that guy at the club. I will say that was a very touching J.J moment, he actualy cared about her and wanted to see her succeed and figured the only way that would happen was if he put her in a better situation

But I don't get it. You are always saying you hate sitcoms that bring on a character that we never seen before...so why Judith Cohen? We never seen her before.

You didn't feel that Judy's song was about the good and sad times of Series up until that point? The song was really deep and it moved me

Because the song she sung MOVED Me, very deep and it was so fitting to the show-the good and sad times

Maybe Michael and those guys should have sung that song. That would be more fitting since Michael and his family are the ones who had good/bad times.
