Default season 36 set changes for the price is right?

I spoke to my friend in hollywood yesterday morning & he told me that it is his understanding there will be a few as he put it " tweaks " to the set when the new season starts in September. I got more information from him this morning but was told not to say anything about that yet. What I can say now is that the doors will have a somewhat new look to them. Obviously the doors themselves will have a new design ( i think we all could have guessed that) since this will be season 36 not season 35. They are currently (literally as I write this) talking about possibly changing the shape & size of the doors & they will be more " travel friendly " . They will still have 3 doors but possibly each of them instead of all looking the same..all of them may look slightly different. Again this is not set in stone, they are talking about all of that right now. I am happy to report that everything I heard to this point (including what I heard this morning) involves no major dramatic changes to the set. They have appx 3 weeks to iron it all out but as of now no major changes can be expected to the set. I have gotten several emails from fellow SO message boarders asking questions about the set & that is what I know about it as of this moment. As soon as I get clearance to talk about the other stuff I will, I think most will find it interesting!!!!

well i'm not surprised by this at all because it wasn't going to stay the same since a new person was taking over the show. It's a new era of the price is right and everything has to be tweaked to match the new era and the new host. No way was Drew Carey going to look like a "permament Guest Host"-LOL

That's a good point. Changes are definitely needed to put Carey's stamp on the show. Jay Leno did that for the Tonight Show After Carson left.

Do you think he should also walk through the doors at the beginning of the show or have a different entrance?

I think they shouldn't have the folding doors like they have since the beginning. If anything, walk through the same entrance, just a different kind of one. I really hope they leave the music the same though, because that is something that could never be replaced.

The theme music will be the same, at worst it may be updated a bit, but that will not sit well with me at all. They talked this week about possibly tweaking the intro music as the first four contestants are being called down. After the 4th contestant is called the theme that we all love will hit as normal. So many things have to be ironed out. As far as Drews entrance, that is being discussed too & Drew will have alot of input on that when he arrives on Monday, but I know they are considering alot of different possibilites. We shall see, I should have more info on things early next week!!!!

So much has changed in the last 5 days as far as just about everything goes. I think there will be a variety of different entrances that Drew will use. This guy Syd vinnedge ( the new executive producer) is really stirring things up out there.
