Question The Bee Gees, Beach Boys or Mamas & The Papas

I love all three, mostly for their harmonizing. What group do you like the best? This is for your opinion, not who was the most successful. I'm giving it to The Bee Gees.

Man, this is not fair!! I love them all - but I'll give the edge to the Bee Gees. Not only is their music great, but they are from Manchester, England - where my grandfather's family hails from (we still have relatives there, btw).

Wow, what a choice. Hands down, The Bee Gees. I love more of their music than the other two groups. Beach Boys have too many songs that sound the same, have the same theme (the beach, etc.). One reason I never could get into the Beach Boys. They have maybe two songs that I can listen to.

Mamas and the Papas, again, they have just 4 songs I like and listen to.

Bee Gees just have an awesome sound, they have ballads and of course, those disco hits. I REALLY REALLY LOVE their songs HOW TO MEND A BROKEN HEART and WORDS. "Words" makes me cry when I hear it. It is so beautifully sung. FANNY is another song that is so different and it is a great song.

YOU SHOULD BE DANCING is a great hit. I can't help but think of John Travolta doing that dance in Saturday Night Fever to that song.

Going against the flow here; I chose the Beach Boys....The BeeGees sang wimpy love songs and gave us the "disco" era ( Saturday night Live soundtrack ) ....as for the Mamas & Papas, they were ok, but, not my cup of tea

I like them all, but The Beach Boys are by far my favorite. A lot of people think their songs sound the same, and a lot of the early ones do. But I'd encourage anyone to seek out music from what I consider their best period (1965-1971). All three Wilson Brothers, especially Brian, made some gorgeous music.

I always want to cry whenever I hear "Don't Worry Baby" and I always want to get in a T-Bird and burn rubber to "Fun Fun Fun". To me, that's the mark of a great group.

i cant even comprehend how the bee gees are winning this...

i love the bee gee's, but artistically they are no where near as interesting or important to music history as the beach boys or the mama's and the papa's...

pet sounds alone should put the beach botys in first let alone all of their other great albums... and the mama's and the papa's as well are much more influential than the bee gee's... oh well. it's an online poll, who cares.

all three are great bands.
