Was there ever a full-length version made of the song? I have the song on a TV themes CD, and I think it would've made a great full-length track. I love Donny Hathaway's music. He had a beautiful voice and was an excellent pianist. Such talent gone too soon.

Hi Catlover 79,

Yes, there is a full-length version of the Maude T.V theme song. They played it at the end of Bea Arthur's one woman show when I attended it in 2001. In fact, I wanted to hunt someone down to get a copy of it. I believe "Annie Oakley was the first sharpshooter" was part of the extended theme. Someday, we'll get the full lyrics. Joe.....

Thanks for the info!!! I own one of Donny Hathaway's Greatest Hits CD and just love his voice...it's a shame what happened to him...

It's also available on the Bea Arthur CD of her Broadway show, as well. If you're an Arthur fan, this CD is for you (very funny).
