HI there - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

just joined from NZ because I thought this community may be able to finally solve a mystery for me. I friend of my hubbies visits often and eveytime I try and figure out which actor he reminds me of so strongly, (lame aye) but now its really REALLY starting to annoy me, because its in my head and on the tip of my tongue but it just wont come to be............I think he is out of a sitcom and plays a grumpy dad figure, am I allowed to post a pic here?

He thinks its a great laugh

Yep, but he is not who I am thinking of, I think he may have played a cop as well in another programme.

sorry not quite, I can see his face and its almost exactly the same as the pic, maybe 80's sitcom.

In my head I can see teenage girls annoying him

That was my second choice. lol Only he never played a cop and the only show I think he was in was My 2 Dads.

The only 80's one I can think of is Christopher Hewitt from Mr. Belvadere.

I think the character he played (the guy who I am thinking of) was a lot like a Frank Barone off everybody loves Raymond, similar personality etc. Man I wish there was a website where you could post a pic and find similar looking people

Its been bothering me for ages, but I can see him in my head and hear his voice in my head, lol

Is it this guy? His name is Richard Riehle and he played Walt Finnerty on Grounded For Life.

Christopher Hewitt comes to my mind too when you mentioned the teenage girls annoying him.
