I’m sure most of you have already heard me rant and rave about that so called Honeymooners movie. I just can’t seem to get it out of my head. Maybe I’m just a mental case. What I am asking form you folks is to help me destroy this “Horrible” movie as Joyce Randolph once said
. Full Grown Nuts Ltd. Co. is looking for pictures and or video of this movie, or even just the case being eradicated. We are willing to pay for these pics and would welcome as many donations as possible. If you have a copy of this movie in your house and you are a True-Blue fan of the classic show, you outta be ashamed of yourself! We welcome any helpful suggestions and assistance to get this problem taken care of. Please feel free to email us @ FullGrownNuts.com if you wish to participate. We especially need help from those of you that have Honeymooner websites. You are always welcome to call our business (“House Phone”) line 24/7 and leave us a message. We know we could be doing more productive things with our time, but I guess that’s why we call ourselves “Full Grown Nuts”! Lol! I just can’t seem to get this out of my system..….Mooner and Ralphie boy thank you very much for all of your support; you’re buncha sweet kids! And Away We Go! Mooner A.K.A. I'll tell you this Charlie, I NEVER saw the movie nor EVER will see it. They are selling them on ebay for one cent plus postage. I would not spend one penny to buy it so I could burn it. It's not worth a penny. Jackie, Art and Audrey must be rolling over in their graves with this god awful remake of the Honeymooners. Evidently some writer thought it would be "cool or hip" to re-write the characters. It didnt work. It failed miserably. I dont have a problem with doing an updated version of the Honeymooners. But dont take them out of the 50's and put them in the world of today. I do promise you this Charlie, If ever I do ever happen to have the opportunity to destroy a cassette or DVD of this piece of crap, consider it GONE!! Thanks I needed to vent on this matter.

The previews were enough to turn me off from it. Worse yet, the other night I found that there's been a remake of Gleason's beloved 'Gigot,' called 'The Wool Cap.'
Here's the description: William H. Macy co-writes and stars as a broken man bereft of love, family, and his very voice in a made-for-TV film based on an original story by the legendary Jackie Gleason (THE HONEYMOONERS). Gigot (Macy) is a mute war veteran who lost his vocal cords in a tragic car accident that killed his sister. Wracked by guilt and grief, Gigot cut all ties with his family to live a life of self-imposed exile as the superintendent for a rundown, inner-city tenement. After 28 years of emotional solitude, Gigot's lonely existence is shattered by the arrival of Lou (Keke Palmer), a spunky but troubled 12-year-old whose drug-addict mother has abandoned her. At first wary of each other, the two unlikely roommates forge a genuinely touching bond that blossoms into a father-daughter relationship and prompts Gigot to make amends with his own estranged family. Warm and uplifting without caving in to sentimentality, THE WOOL CAP is a poignant character study of two damaged souls offering each other a shot at healing and redemption. Ned Beatty, Catherine O'Hara, and Don Rickles offer fine supporting roles, and newcomer Palmer displays a knowing maturity that belies her young age, but the film belongs to the always brilliant Macy, who turns in a stellar performance that conveys layers of emotional depth without ever saying a word. Why is Hollywood so out of ideas that they only stoop to make remakes and then 'trash' them up? And put black actors in the roles that were made famous by whites? I shudder to think of what the 'Hawaii Five-O' remake will be like. The reason why the good old shows were good is because they were headed up with decent men with morals... Okay, I'll come down off my soapbox now...temporarily...LOL Take care, Carol |

I would say that there is talent out there that are capable, but maybe the writers are afraid of taking on such a task. Then again, if you have read some of the HM scripts, you will notice that much of it wasn't spoken anyway, all add lib. Besides that, the newer generations won't be interested unless it has some dirt in it. How sad that is. All we can do is share the great shows from the past and get them in our everyday lives an hopefully they will catch the eye of todays youth..... |
