TBS will tweak its daytime line-up a bit before the fall.

What's new: Just Shoot Me (Aug. 6)
What's gone: NewsRadio (Aug. 6) and The Drew Carey Show (Aug. 27)

Weekdays Effective Monday, August 6
12:00PM The Steve Harvey Show (replaces Cosby Show)
12:30PM The Steve Harvey Show (replaces NewsRadio)
1:00PM Just Shoot Me (replaces Steve Harvey)
1:30PM Just Shoot Me (replaces Steve Harvey)

Weekdays Effective Monday, August 27
6:30AM The Cosby Show (replaces Drew Carey)

It seems like The Drew Carey Show and NewsRadio are the only shows that have ever failed on TBS. Usually, the network gives their shows a fair chance and keep them on for years, but Drew Carey was only on for a little while before moving to 6:30am, and NewsRadio was only on once a day (sometimes not at all if the movie ran longer) and is already off.

I'm really hoping Drew Carey's contract is extended. Could the problem with it being yanked off the air be low airplays? I've noticed some episodes have been skipped here or there, so maybe the problem is with the airplays.

Why oh why must a show be picked up on one network and then show up on every other?

Just Shoot Me fits well on TBS, but TVLand is getting it as well (a bad move) and then locals will be getting it after that. Give another show a chance for goodness sakes. TBS holds well for JSM because they mostly show 90s and 2000s shows. TVLand SHOULD pick up at least an 80s show or better yet another 60s show. I can't complain about locals though because they don't nearly have enough to show.

I'm entirely happy that Just Shoot Me is getting picked up by TBS, as I loved that show to death. I'm a little curious as to why TV Land is getting it, though. But, hey, whatever.

The Drew Carey Show is going to be completely missed by me, though.

So this is kind of a bitter-sweet thing for me. I get Just Shoot Me but lost Drew Carey.

I'm sorry to see "NewsRadio" go. It doesn't matter to me so much, because I'm at work when it's on and I have every episode of DVD. Still, I wish the show had a better rerun life. It obviously sold well on DVD, though. Because it came from Sony and each set had a lot of commentaries and other bonus features. And Sony's not known for putting out a lot of bonus features on a set.

TBS showed "NewsRadio" longer than that darn N@N did though. At least they got two cycles out of it, and are currently on their third.

And even though I hate "Just Shoot Me!" I'm okay with it being on TBS. Seeing as the DVD sets for that show seemed to have stopped with just one release, the fans have to watch the show somewhere. I'm still steamed that it's coming to TV Land though, because it's too new for TV Land.

I think it's kinda funny that JSM is replacing Newsradio on TBS. I remember several years ago Newsradio was airing in syndication in my area and the show that replaced it was Just Shoot Me.

I'm looking forward to seeing JSM again though. It's certainly no Newsradio but it's ok.

I won't miss NesRadio much, because I own all 5 seasons on DVD. It's too bad WB can't release Drew Carey faster, though. But then again, it could still get renewed, right?
