Rumor Says Season 3 Coming in December! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

According to Wikipedia, season 3 of the Nanny is being released by Sony on December 17th, just in time for Christmas, as a 3 disc set. Now, since it is coming from Wikipedia, and I don't know how well you trust the site, but it is just a rumor, and no official announcement has been made.

I"m really hoping this is true. It's already been well over a year since season 2 came out. I just wish Sony would pick up their pace and release these things faster!

I agree, but Dec. 17 is a Monday, not a Tues, so it prob. wouldn't come out on that date. Most likely the 18th. Sony is such a pain. Not only are they not releasing TN fast enough, they also haven't released the first season of Designing Women yet. It's ridiculous!

I don't believe it, don't get your hopes up. They also had a proposterous claim that HAPPY DAYS' DVD's would all be out by December '08, or something like that! I wish it were true though, it's not like they're bothering putting any thought into THE NANNY discs anymore since season one.

I'm not sure I believe that season 3 will be released. It would be SO nice, but I don't want to get my hopes up and then be let down. I think I'll wait to hear it from TVShowsOnDVD.com. Thanks for posting the news though. I hope it does come true.

If sales were good for season 2, we probably will see season three out sometime before the end of the year, since Sony has an idea of releasing one season every year. Season 1 was 2005, season 2 was 2006, so season 3 would be this year. I'm hoping it isn't right before Christmas, because that won't leave me much time to buy it for myself, but maybe in November.
