You post lyrics from a song from the 1950's and someone guesses the song and singer(s) then if they want, they post lyrics for someone else to guess.
So first one:

its a great song so if you guys can give it a listen someday

anyway, the song is "the Battle of New Orleans" 1959, by Johnny Horton

That is correct Mikado, it is indeed "The Battle Of New Orleans" by Johnny Horton, from 1959. And since a lot of Country songs from the 1950's were sorta rock n' rollish anyways and vice versa I have changed the title again to "1950's music lyric game".

So here is the next song for someone to guess:

The wise old owl, the big black crow, flapping them wings sayin' go bird go............
