Well, I've never dealt with them but, a good rule of thumb to go by is, if a show is not yet officially released on dvd from a studio, don't buy it. There are loads of sites out there offering shows on dvd not yet released. Most people are getting ripped off dealing with these people. If they are scammers, the company being overseas will only make getting a refund impossible. Bear in mind, some countries don't have copyright laws (or at least enforce them) so, for them to say it's legal is true on their end but, not on yours. No site/business/seller is going to say outright that they're selling bootlegs. That's just bad business.

From what I've seen of the site, it also seems to be offering movies. It looks legit but, that's not saying much. I know it's tempting to buy a TV show online that hasn't yet been released (or might not ever) but, personally, I think the risk is too high. You might end up paying over $100 for a dvd set that is basically recorded from TV (that's mainly the only way these sites have these shows) and burned onto cheap dvd-rs.

Oh No What Warner Bros has to say...

Hey guys...I also wanted to know about dealsworld.net. I really don't want to pay money for pirated shows. So after googleing it and only finding opinions I went on to check some authoritive places. BBB online listed them as not standing up to their return policy. Next I sent and email to Craig Hoffmann at Warner Brothers thinkinking they owned the series I was interested in. This is his reply....
"While Warner Bros. does not own the rights to Charmed (although it was broadcast on the WB, it was an Aaron Spelling Production), I've checked out some of the titles we do own and they are all counterfeit...if it makes it easier, any DVDs that claim to be all region are usually fake and if there is Chinese writing, that's usually another clue...

In any event, I've reported this site to the proper authorities, and I really appreciate your taking the time to check. Please feel free to continue to do so...."

So there you have it....It's illegal...
Thanks!

(by the way, I know this is probably a closed thread but I post this for anyone else looking for the answer.)

Actually I have bought some series on these kind of dvd's as I am tired of waiting forever for the legal hoops or just the fact that most of the shows I want (b&w pre 1966 ones) will probably never see the light of day on offical dvd. As for quality, they have not been any worse than Universal's horrible DVD-18 pieces of crap that I have had to re-burn onto dvd-r so that I can play them in my dvd player. Actually, I have had very good luck with the series I have purchased as my player likes dvd-r that are copy-protection and region free.
As I see it, the companies owning the rights to these shows had their chance and sat on their duff forever so they lose. Too Bad

Well said, I agree 100%. They could at least release a limited supply to test the waters, then later on release more.
