(All the girls are sitting around the table in the kitchen eating breakfast)
N: Hey guys did you hear about the new student?
B: What new student?
T: Her names Michelle..she just came last week.
J: Where's she from?
N: She came from the Bronx
J: Really? Cool!
T: Yeah..but from what I here she isn't having a good first week here.
B: What do you mean?
N: Me and Tootie heard from other girls that people were poking fun of her and calling her names because she used to be on welfare.
J: How could they do something so mean?
B: Is she still on it?
N: No..she her dad recently paied off his bills and he got a job as a bar tender.
B: What about her mom??
T: Her mom died when she was seven.
J: How do you know so much about her?
T: Well you know me..I hear everything!
N: And whenever she hears something, she tells me.
(Tootie and Natalie leave)
B: Jo I feel sorry for her.
J: Me too..I wish there was something we could do.
B: (Sighs)
((Michelle's dorm))
M: (Sitting on her bed alone crying)
((The hallway))
(Blair and Jo are walking down it when they here Michelle crying in her dorm)
B: Jo do you hear that?
J: Yeah..that's Michelle's dorm.
B: She's crying!
J: No really?! (Knocks on the door)
B: Jo!!!
(Michelle answers the door)
M: Who are you two?
J: Oh..I'm Jo.
B: And I'm Blair.
M: What are you guys here for..to pick on me?
J: No..we just heard crying.
M: Oh..well that was me...
B: Where are your roommates?
M: I don't have any because nobody wanted to share a room with me.
B: Oh...well could we come in??
M: Sure.
(Blair and Jo come in and Michelle shuts the door)
J: So..I heard people say things about you.
M: Well you heard right.
B: Michelle I just want you to know that we're here for you.
J: Yeah..if you need us we will be here.
M: Thanks. (Smiles but then puts a straight face) But no thanks.
B: What do you mean?
M: Well..I appreciate you guys trying to be my friends. But..well..it will just be a waste.
J: Why Michelle?
M: I don't really wanna say.
B: You can tell us. We won't tell anybody. We promise.
M: Well...alright. (Gets up) Since nobody likes me, well, you two do. But that's only two people. And since nobody else likes me...I better do what's best.
B: What's best Michelle?
M: (Long pause) I am gonna commit suicide.

B: And we don't wanna see that happen.
M: (Puts head down and walks to her dresser. She opens it and reveals a bottle of pills)
B: Michelle...you had that??
M: These are my suicide tools Blair. And I am going to use them tonight.
B: (Turns to Jo)
((The living room))
B: (On the couch thinking of Michelle)
MG: Blair what's wrong? You haven't been talking since you came into this room!!
B: Well I guess I am just not in the mood...
MG: Why not?
B: (Gets up) Long story..(Starts to leave)
MG: Wait! Tell me what is going on.
B: Mrs. Garett I dunno if I can.
MG: You will tell me.
J: (Walks in having the same mood Blair is in)
MG: Jo do you know anything?
J: What do you mean??
MG: (Gives a look saying 'you know the same thing Blair knows')
J: Um...
MG: Tell me what is going on here!!!!!
J: (Turns to Blair)
B: I gotta go blow dry my hair. (Leaves fast)
J: Me too!!! (Leaves)
MG: Something is wrong..Jo never blowdrys her hair!!
((Michelle's dorm))
B: Michelle you CAN'T do it!!!
M: Well I am!!!!!!
J: Listen Michelle. Listen carefully. I knew alot of people in the Bronx. 40 percent of them wanted to commit suicide. 5 percent finally did cause of what they realized. They realized that life is more important then what most people think. They realized that what people say don't matter. And that soon those people will be forgotten. They will be gone, but you can always get them back! But listen, you can never get life back again. And you wanna know who someone who wanted to commit suiced was?
M: Who?
J: ME.
B: Michelle, if you kill yourself then it'll be like its our fault. We already tried to convince you, and if you backstab us by comitting suicide, itll be like WE are to blame. And you can't kill yourself because you are far more important.
(Mrs. Garett comes in)
MG: What is going on?!?!?
M: Well..there was a big problem, (Looks at Blair and Jo but then smiles) But it was solved. (Walks to Blair and Jo and hugs them)
