Did Art Carney invent rap?
A few years ago I heard Art Carney(AKA Ed Norton from The Honeymooners)'s "Twas' The Night Before Christmas" on the radio and the DJ said it's from the 50s and mentioned it being basically rap.Anybody hear it before?It does sound like rap.Not like the style that came along two decades later, but no other way to describe it.
