Question How much do you spend on groceries weekly?

It's just my husband and I...and the two kitties, lol. We spend, on average, $125 weekly on groceries. I also spend another $30 to $50 for health and beauty products at CVS. Another $20 at the liquor store.

We get take-out about twice a week, and eat out once a week, so that's another $100. All together, it comes to about $250 to $300 weekly for food and essentials.

We don't eat a lot, we just eat well. When we entertain, cookouts, etc, that sends our grocery bill through the roof. Life is expensive, lol.

Well, let me see. Regular grocery shopping will cost us around $200 a week. It is me, my boyfriend and my two daughters. However, I don't make a daily dinner meal like I used to. I don't make breakfast, only for my son. There is no lunch around here, we usually eat out or have an early dinner, whether we eat out or I make something here. I spend another $55 to $70 every two weeks on toiletries, detergents, toilet paper, household cleaners, etc.

Some of my groceries consist of microwaveable stuff, frozen food stuff, a lot of fresh fruits like watermelon, apples, bananas, nectarines, etc. for snacking. We are trying to eat healthier and rather than a snack like we used to have (cake, brownies, etc.) we are trying to eat better. Also, those large packages of drinking water, juice and diet sodas.

Groceries? Soooo, are we talking human food and pet food?lol I guess so since you mentioned your 2 little kitties. Now I have 3 dogs & 3 cats plus I buy squirrel corn(those bags run $3+ a bag). All in all one trip to the store usually runs me about $150, then if I have to shop for some holiday-related thing, about $200. I always have a list with me. If I didn't, I know I would forget so much, plus I think it keeps me from 'straying'. I try not to do much impulse buying, but once in a while...

Those darn TV-DVD sets!!

Then I eat out once or twice a week, and maybe takeout once or twice a week. I guess $75 a week.

$400-500. Its us 3 guys, mom, step dad, cat, dog, 4 parrots, and my sister and brother in law 2x a week for dinner. and our various friends that like to eat our food. Ive only recently started noticing these things. Being on my own is going to be a rude awakening.

I usually get all the essentials at Walmart (ours is very nice & clean here) and i spend between $100 & $200 a week. But part of that is for non-food items. Then we eat out 2 or 3 times a week.

Usually around $100 for 3 people. Health/Beauty and Paper Goods is another $50 probably. Good thing they don't run out as quickly. My parents also buy a lot of that stuff at Sam's Club, so we have like 30 rolls of paper towels and 60 rolls of TP.
