Thoughts on the box art?

I am actually not too crazy about it. I was hoping for something simpler/classier. I would have liked to have seen a black and white photo collage on the front with the red heart logo in the middle. This art is okay but I guess I was expecting too much.

Also, it is easy to tell that it will probably store the discs similarly to the complete series set of The Brady Bunch. Except instead of flower cardboard holders this set will have heart holders.

While I'm not a huge fan of the show, I like the box art. The extras look really good too.

I'm not familiar with how the Brady Bunch was packaged, do you have any links or images you can post for me? Just so I can get a better idea of what you're talking about...

There are some customer images on Amazon that should help. I'm not saying this I Love Lucy Set will be similar in outer boxart. It's the inside 'flower holder' in The Brady Bunch that I'm talking about. Except the holder will be shaped like a heart. I could be wrong but IMO the art for the Lucy set looks like it will feature the same disc storage method.

I'm glad there will be extra features. Hopefully they will be released by themselves but I'm not holding my breathe.

I agree with Gotsmart, I'm not holding my breath either. If that's the case and to get the movie I have to purchase the entire thing, that is going to p*#$ me off. I already got screwed by getting the series through Columbia House and CH not providing season 6, and now this. It's odd, when it comes to things with the likeness and products that Lucie and Desi Jr. would have to signoff on, I feel like it's all a great deal. When it comes to the distribution of the series on video/DVD where the Arnaz children are not involved, I feel ripped off.

I found this on deepdiscount.com pre-selling for $150 with free shipping!! Amazons price is $217.

I've posted this elsewhere but have to say it again.
Naturally, I am thrilled that they continue to release ANYTHING from Lucy. With that said, I am ticked that I faithfully preordered every single season set the first day each was available for preorder. I would have preferred the Complete Series set. If you dont buy the Season Sets, the Complete Series will never get released. It's like a vicious circle. I can't justify buying the Complete Series set since I already have all of the ILL sets and TLDCH set. I just wish Paramount would spend the time working on releasing The Lucy Show instead of spending time on a complete ILL set. Bring the fans something new.

Also, I hope fans will be able to get the ILL Movie seperate from the Complete Series set.

They should do what Timelife does with Get Smart and Man From U.N.C.L.E. Timelife releases the complete sets AND also release the season sets one by one.

If anything, release the movie seperate with the "added" bonus features that have been added to ALL the season sets since they were first originally released.

Just goes to show how Paramount, and yes I'll even say Gregg Oppenheimer, gets greedy in the end. Money, money, money ....
