Bob Hoskins says that director Robert Zemeckis will use the motion capture technique developed for The Polar Express and the upcoming Beowulf to retell A Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey as Ebenezer Scrooge.

Hoskins, who previously worked with Zemeckis on Who Framed Roger Rabbit, said that the director wants him "to play Mr. Fezziwig. He's doing in that way he did 'Polar Express.' You stand in a box with that funny suit on and it reads everything you do...Am I going to do it? Of course I am!"

Sounds pretty neat, since Poar Express was a pretty impressive movie, but do we really need another Christmas Carol?

Please, not again!! There are already 18 zillion adaptations/retellings of A Christmas Carol...what else can they do with the story??
