Hi All
Thire has been somthing that i allways wanted to know and i hope someone out thrie can Please Help Me. The Opening Titles for Season 2 through 5 is when dick Trips over the Audtim was that ever a actual epesodie or was that just Filmed for the Openig titles i have been trying to figguire it out for years

Those were never in any individual episodes.

Actually, the opening titles sequence where Dick trips over the ottoman and one where he avoids it alternated from week-to-week, a tactic used by Carl Reiner to keep audiences coming back every week. Bets were taken among viewers to see what would happen: would he trip over the ottoman or skip over it?

yea; Carl says that in the commentary for one of the episodes-I forget which one.

And; this is off-topic; but he's in the movie OCEANS 13; if anyone cares.

(I was suprised; I thought he was retired!)

Anyway you look at it the ottoman should've gotten stunt pay.

That ottoman should be in the Smithsonian. Does anyone know where it is today, if it's in a special place?

That's a really good question! You know, for a class trip last year we went to the Smithsonian (it was under construction so not everything was out) and saw the museum of American History. I thought I was gonna get to see the ottoman!! It should be right next to Archie Bunker's chair!!!
