A Windy Night (fan fic)
***If I don't finish it now I will finish it at a free time ASAP... I'm studying for exams and this is just a break...**
(Edna's Edibles. Blair and Mrs. G are working on something; nobody else is around.) Mrs. G: So you add up all the savings from last month and half the saving's we've already got this month and... (Jo comes in, wet) Jo: Did you guys hear? It's supposed to be a hurricane tonight! Mrs. G: A hurricane in Peeskill? Jo, be serious. Jo: If I'm wet and it's raining out then I'm being serious! (Blair gets up and looks out the window) Blair: It's raining, Mrs. G. (turns to Jo). But I don't think it's hurricane weather. Jo: Where's Tootie and Natalie? They've got to come in before the hurricane! Mrs. Garrett: Jo, sit down and don't start predicting anything. It's not going to get that bad. (Tootie and Natalie come in, drenched) Tootie: Mrs. Garrett, it's going to storm tonight! Nat: We heard it on the radio! Tootie: And we've got to study for exams tonight too.. Eastland has them all week starting TOMORROW! Jo (holds up a textbook): So does Langley.. Mrs. G: Girls, be realistic! If the power goes out, then we can worry. But it's nice and comfy and there's LIGHT! (the power goes out) Jo: Mrs. G... you were saying... (Mrs. G gets up carefully and feels around. she picks up, from what she can tell, four flashlights. she feels around for the girls and gives them one each.) Mrs. G: Use them wisely to get your books and then meet me back down here with them. Blair (muttering): Carrying this a bit too far.. Mrs. G: Girls, you know what I said to my ex husband that time when he mortgaged the home to the bookee.. (the girls rush off to get their stuff) (later... on the stairs walking up... blair keeps bumping into jo) jo: if you keep bumping into me, blair, i swear i'll hit you with my flashlight's batteries. tootie: that's gotta hurt. (sound of a little crash.) jo: blair!!! blair: sorry! (rubs her head)... gosh, never thought batteries hurt! (mrs. g, holding her own flashlight comes over) mrs. g: come on, girls! we haven't got all night ~ and it's getting worse out! (girls run upstairs) tootie: somebody grab my biology textbook! nat: here you go! jo: where'd my history stuff go? nat: here you go! (pauses) since when do i have everyone's stuff? blair: c'mon, let's just go... (everyone sighs and walks back towards the shop.) (a few hours later; everyone looks tired.) tootie: if i study one more thing about cells i'm going to scream. jo: you don't think i like this history stuff? i thought once you got to college history'd be over! but no, there's just more years and years and... what's wrong tootie? tootie: has anyone seen mrs. g? i thought she was in here when we came but i didn't see her... (I'll finish it up in a few days, I have to go now, but tell me what you think! Thanx!) |
