Junk!
Well, those that would like a set of junky FKB eps, on DVD, in broadcast order, please let me know.
Viewed two of the DVDs last night (#1 and #2) and stopped there. (Although I do promise to go through all of them, out of the same bizarre fascination we tend to show at car wrecks.) Disc 1: The Pilot ("Head of the Family"). And that's it! Why is only one episode on Disc 1? The pilot is crappy, but complete. Disc 2: The first 9 eps of Year One, all of them from TV Land, all of them between 21 and 22 minutes. To be continued. Frankly, if I was an FKB fan with only a few episodes on my shelf, I would still be thrilled to have this. I'm sure putting this together was a major project, and we should be thankful for it. But there is probably nothing here that will satisfy a serious collector. Hope I'm wrong. Hope we at least get the "flashback" eps from the later years (always hard to find), if not "Not His Type". |

I feel your pain. I got a set awhile back, supposedly all episodes. They're all 21 or 22 minutes, some are great, some are grainy. I do have Stagecoach to Yuma, but it's poor quality too. I sure wish the powers to be out there would release season sets. If they can do it with The Real McCoys, why not this show and others, such as The Donna Reed Show.
