Default Anyone Watching on ION?

I taped "The Beauty Contest" (one of my fave eps!) from ION tonight, and I noticed a few differences from Lifetime and N@N's versions of the show. I'm pretty sure they didn't use the right credits, b/c I didn't think Meshach Taylor was in the opening until S2, the title of the episode wasn't shown after the credits. I think I'll continue taping from ION, though, since at the rate they're showing it, it shouldn't take TOO long for them to get through the first 5 years, and that way I'll at least have my faves, while I wait for Sony to release seasons. If I tried to get them from N@N, it would prob. take me forever and a day. LOL

Anyway, I just wanted to vent. I'm done now. hehe

Get use to those differences. I am sure you will notice more of them. I wonder how long before ION yanks that show off the air and replace it with something else?

I know, in that case, I WILL tape off N@N. I just wish they'd release the seasons, then we wouldn't have to worry about this!

Oh wow...I was gonna tell you that it's too late because N@N had to drop it when ION picked it up, because I had been taping it from N@N and noticed that last week it wasn't scheduled any longer.

But I just checked the Yahoo TV listings, and it's back! WOO-HOO! Maybe only 4 times a week or so, but I'd rather have that with the full un-edited shows and original opening and closing themes than what ION will probably do.

I've been watching, but all of the commercials are killing me. They come mid-sentence sometimes.

I found an email address for Sony, and I wrote to them to ask about this and The Nanny. I'll let you guys know if I hear anything from them about DVD's.

Usually it seems to be right between lines of two different characters, often-times right when another character enters.

I'm quite pleased overall, though. There are only 2 commercial breaks, and very little is edited out. In last night's "Dash Goff" there was a one-minute scene with Dash and Mary Jo that was taken out, but was shown on the N@N airing.

As for the titles being shown on screen, I'm pretty sure that didn't start until sometime in season 2 or 3.

the opening credits on the ION reruns are from the original syndication cycle while the show was still on CBS. I think Sony simply slapped on the current Sony logo on the end, while Nick/TV Land has the version last seen on Lifetime.

Yeah, they edit it in such an odd way that it's hard for me to watch.
