it was the same actor but, the judge in Lamont's traffic case had a different name....not Mel Davis

While Fred and Julio's mom were at the restaurant spying on Lamont and Maria (Julio's sister) on their date, Fred's buddies caught them and assumed they were dating. In "Pops N Pals", Fred picked up this rather large woman who then dumped him (calling him a "jive chump" -

Watching Redd Foxx with Ja'net Dubois was weird, she was in her 30s playing a woman in her 60s! The again John Amos did the same thing in the Lena Horne episode.

The Hacker episode was ridiculous!

yeah season 6 had it's gayest moment when they made Fred hot for a man....and at the end of this ep, they made him say how sexy he thought Bubba was too!(dressed like a woman)....pathetic(not funny)
