Default Pentagon ADMITS UFOs exist!!! WHAT?????

You guys remember the Virigina UFO case that was repeated on LRW about 3 weeks ago or so?

Well that bearded journalist/reporter said he called the Pentagon and they ADMITTED that UFO actually EXIST!!!! I'm VERY dubious. He said but they wouldn't tell him anymore except that they are not a danger.

If this were true this would be the biggest news in the history of mankind and basically it would amount to disclosure which is what the UFO movement is trying to acheive.

I personally don't believe in UFOs since it just seems mind boggling to overcome the limitations of space travel to actually travel from another galaxy!! Even if you travel at the speed of light it can take THOUSANDS or MILLIONS of years! Even the National Geographic Channel had a special called "UFOs: Is it Real" and they provided pretty good evidence to debunk all the major UFO sightings in the world.

What do all of you think of this?? Do any of you actually believe it??

I think it could be a case of some fabricating or embellishing just to make a story or get some attention. It just seems too incredulous to believe.

1) Hearsay. I'll believe it when President Bush admits this during his state of the union address. And even then, I'm not sure I will...

2) Sure UFOs exist. That doesn't mean that those unidentified flying objects are extraterrestrial space craft --- anything airborne that is not identified is a UFO.

Yeah, that was Danny Gordon. He used to tour as a lecturer. He would basically recite his experiences with UFOs (including some incidents that were not covered by UM) in his lectures.

Seems like that would be more reason to NOT believe it.

While I'm not sure if the Pentagon would ACTUALLY come clean and admit that UFO's exist, I think it's arrogant of the human race to assume that we're the only ones in the ENTIRE universe.

... I'm not sure if other species on other planets have perfected space travel or what, but if it were to come out that UFO's were actually "confirmed" as real, it wouldn't be a big shock to me. I guess it would register the same to me as Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan getting a DUI...

No, it couldn't mean UFO since if they were anything the military was doing then it wouldn't be "unidentified" since the Pentagon would obviously know about it.

I agree with the hearsay comment but all these UFO advocates keep swearing on their lives that they are here and a lot say that disclosure will happen some day and the cite many many pages of government reports (among other things) from different countries with many of the parts blacked out as proof the govt. is hiding something.

I won't believe it till I see actual evidence but Danny Gordon seemed pretty sincere and even quit talking about UFOs once his life got too complicated so why would he lie about it in the first place??

haha he called the Pentagon? is the number in the phone book? who takes the calls?

One UFO case I think is very interesting is the Austalian pilot Frederick Valentich who was flying his plane and a UFO right above him followed him for a while, he reported all this over the airwaves, then his communications cut out and nobody ever heard from him again or found any wreckage.

Well as mozart pointed out, a UFO is not necessarily a flying saucer/alien invasion. I could argue that a UFO is a species of insect that hasn't been discovered yet.

Yep, anything that is not identified in the skies is a UFO which could be anything from a weather baloon to a blow up animal so there is no admission of anything.

The UFO cases are usually very suspiscious with obvious problems with evidence, lying, etc., but that Frederich Valentich case is pretty intriguing. I'd love to know what exactly he saw up there. I've even considered buying the UFO box set just to get it, but then I think I'd have to put up with all those stupid segments.

Yeah, but the Pentagon official told him that they know these UFOs are there but they are not a danger. So, if the Pentagon doesn't even know what they are they how could they know they are not a danger?

But government projects would not be "unidentified" since the Pentagon would obviously know what they are.

Yes but they would do anything to keep them quiet even putting forward the suggestion that they were aliens.
