Question Funniest James Evans moment??

I have two -

The first one is when Florida reads aloud to James the thesis that Eddie (Thelma's date) wrote entitled "Sexual Behavior in the Ghetto". James started puffing out his chest and preening when the thesis mentions the importance of a strong father in the home. John Amos' reactions were priceless.

The only one that might top that (in my book) is where Florida comes up with an idea to outsmart the supermarket manager who sold the family the rancid beef roast. The look on James' face when he caught Florida's drift was hilarious, and I loved how he and Flo were just roaring with laughter.

John Amos has always been famous and renowned in dramatic roles (Roots, The West Wing, etc.) and rightly so. However, I feel he is underrated as a comedic actor. His facial expressions and way of tossing zingers has always had me .

That one gets an honorary mention in my book. John Amos really looked like he was about to explode.

My funniest James moment was when he and Florida went to the cabin for a weekend getaway, and a sexy young lady catches James' attention. The look on his face when he saw her bent over the fireplace was just priceless

Another moment was when Florida went out to lunch with her boss, and when she got home James was mad as hell. Her boss had given her tin whistle and James was jealous....his antics had me LMAO.

In The Mad Dog episode:

JAMES: Just give me FIVE minutes alone with that Mad Dog. Just FIVE damn minutes, baby-

FLORIDA: VENGEANCE is MINE, saith the Lord!

JAMES: Baby all I want to do is the LORD's WORK-

LOL-

and

JAMES: (Shouting) I'm gonna BREAK that HOODLUM's finger!!!

FLORIDA: That's it, James!! No more yelling and talking loud about Mad Dog. Let's discuss things nice and quiet.

JAMES: (After a minute, talking in a quiet voice) You right, baby. You right. We gonna talk about it nice and quiet like. You ready to talk about things nice and quiet?

FLORIDA: Yes, James.

JAMES: (in a soft voice) I'm gonna break his damn finger.

FLORIDA: James!

JAMES: JUST the TRIGGER finger, Florida! I'm gonna break that finger so it's POINTIN' NORTH, SOUTH, EAST and WEST ALL at the SAME TIME!!!
LOL.
