Default Time for a True Hollywood Story so we can find out.........

the story behind Carlton's dance

Why the first Vivian left the show

Why the second was not shown as much

Why the House changed after season 1

Was There ever a thought of a spinoff

Why Tyra Banks character was so short-lived

Why Will didn't marry the Lisa character

Why the Jazz character always was thrown out with the same outfit on

Why the Opening Credits remained the Same for 6 years?

Why the Carlton character was never given a companion when the Will, Ashely, and Hilary characters had companions

I know most of these wouldn't be answered but I think it's defintely for a THS of this show

BTW: I'm not looking for anyone on this board to try and answer these questions, just something I want to know from a THS or old magazines or newspapers

I thought THS got into the more personal details of the actors themselves. I could be wrong though. I'd love to see a behind the scenes look at the show too.

Yeah most times they do but I'm sure they would talk about the departure of the first Vivian and the addition of the second Vivian

i know that the E! channel does show these true hollywood type of stories on TV and so solomon, it would be interesting to see one based on the fresh prince of bel air. as for those questions you just posed, we know the answers to them and yet i'll answer them

1) alfonso ribeiro was made to watch tom jones music videos
2) i assume that, and this is going by the rumours that the actress didn't get along with will and that she was pregnant at the time as well
3) because the second vivian wasn't up to scratch compared to the first one
4) maybe because the creators thought that the audience wouldn't notice
5) if there was a spin-off then i would've much preferred to have seen a will and carlton one or just one with carlton in it as the main character
6) the tyra banks character was annoying and was rude and nasty to will
7) i thought the same thing as well
8) i wonder too why he always wears the same types of clothes that he has on
9) maybe the makers were too lazy to do anything about it and decided to leave things as they were
10) maybe because to the writers he was too much of a geek, and that in the show, they preferred it when he can do without a girlfriend. when really that was not and is not true

okay, here's one source in relation to one of those questions.

Whitten riled by recent firing from NBC-TVs 'Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.' - Janet Hubert-Whitten
Jet, August 9, 1993

http://findarticles.com/p/articles/m...84/ai_13227647

Janet Hubert-Whitten, recently fired from "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," told Jet that she is a scapegoat and the victim of a vendetta waged by NBC and the show's officials.

Ms. Hubert-Whitten said the network tried to reduce the number of episodes she'd appear in from 25 to 13 and cut her salary in half.

"They (NBC officials) kept calling me asking me to say the parting was mutual, but I'm not like that," she said. "I fight back. They intended to slap me on the wrist if I would behave like a good little ****** woman."

She admitted that she was moody on the set last season because of a difficult pregnancy. "I was extremely moody and gained 65 pounds. I was moody to the point of not talking to people. Every pregnant woman is moody. But, I was loyal and worked up to the day I delivered my son."

There was a lot of tension on the set of "Fresh Prince" last year "between factions but I was not in it. As a cast, we fought like all families do but we made up and got along." She did not elaborate on the factions. Jet was told that she had contacted Will Smith, star of the hit sitcom but was told he had nothing to do with her dismissal.

She said she has been made the scapegoat for a variety of problems that she had nothing to do with. She was not certain whether or not the network was upset at her for being pregnant in the first place.

NBFC issued a statement that read: "We were unable to reach agreement in renegotiating Janet Hubert-Whitten's contract for the next season with "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air." She will not be returning to the show." There were no further comments on charges she made.

i'll try and find out the others for you

I can deal with people discussing things as long as they are not passing it off as factual information but speculation. I don't trust too much entertainment news from many of these papers as reporters are more out to search for Hollywood gossip rather than ask the questions that need to be asked.

Other questions could be:

-Why was Ashley aged signficantly between the seasons? She went from being 9 to 12 (something like that)?

-Why was the cliffhanger from season four never resolved? As we started season five, they spoofed themselves and moved forward with a different storyline.

-Why was Janet Hubert-Whitten's pregnancy written into the show? There were already three kids and Will? Many black shows tend to make themselves busy by adding more characters to give everyone a job. Adding another child is always a jump the shark moment

-Was the series really cancelled at the end of season four or on the verge of it? Was Will really ready to move on in 1996 or did the network finally say enough is enough?

-The casts real thoughts about "Out all Night" and "In the House" as some members were featured on episodes of those shows.

Yes by that time the Fresh Prince was way out of the top 20 and everyone knew it was the last season

I know you are not looking for answers of your questions but i think they did that because they were too lazy too make another video of Jazz getting thrown out and with the same tshirt they can just have the same highlight replayed over and over i don't think it was that big of a deal really.

it was funny the first few times it had happened, but as the show wore on it got tedious and was no longer funny. though it was funny to see jazz throw uncle phil outside the house but the way it happened was so fake anyway because i couldn't imagine jazz literatelly throwing uncle phil out. though the same can be said when phil threw jazz out.

Not only did you ignore my request about not answering any of the questions, but you answered the question with a source backing up what you were saying. And I asked that anyone on this board not try and GUESS what the answer is because I don't want to know from anyone on thias board without a source.

Part Four

http://members.tripod.com/jjtupac/carlton.htm

Host NBCshowhost:
JoshP: Alfonso--where did they come up with "The Carlton Dance"??

Alfonso Ribeiro: Actually, I stole it from Eddie Murphy and Courteney Cox...
